The Bio-Ecology track embraces the study of life in the oceans and includes a broad range of topics, from biogeography to biodiversity, marine botany, molecular ecology, biological systematics, population ecology, management of aquatic resources, and fisheries.

To fully understand life underwater, it is essential to know how plants, animals and other organisms interact with their environment and respond to change.

Our Bio-Ecology track combines different subjects with the related environmental sciences to provide a complete understanding of marine ecosystems.

Students will also spend part of their time in the field, collecting data to be analyzed in a specialized laboratory, to advance scientific understanding of species and their environments. In addition, a wide range of applied real-life case studies will be analyzed and discussed with international experts, in order to improve the students’ skills to identify and solve practical issues.
